Question: Where are local food banks in Delaware County? What are the regulations on food bank donations? Where are local composting sites in Delaware County? Will Chartwells be willing to donate food products to these places?

Final Goal: Map out possible routes to food banks and composting sites in the area. Utlimate goal is to recycle as much food at OWU as possible through food banks and composting sties.

What to Know- Have to know food bank donation laws, regulations. Have to know chartwells will be willing to donate and how much? KNow what is salvageable and what is not, what can be recycled and what can’t. ANd what can’t if it can be brought to a composting site.  Who to contact about these questions, Head of Chartwells, Composting site managers, food bank managers.

Locate Data: How much food is wasted is availabe. Routes to composting and food banks in the area.

Analysis- What types of food can be recycled, what types can be composted. Collection times.

Present Results: Our final map will consist of Chartwells food waste sources and possible food banks and composting sites in the area. We will map out the routes to these destinations.
